Globacom has fired up its 4G LTE network in another eight locations within the country just within a week of commercial launch of the network. The new roll-out locations include Bonny, Escravos, Forcados, Abraka (Delta State University), Ekpoma (Ambrose Alli University), Okada (Igbinedion University), Agbor (College of Education), and Sapele (Western Delta University).

Globacom formally launched Nigeria’s largest 4G LTE network at its head office in Victoria Island, Lagos on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
Within 24 hours of launch, over 15,000 subscribers registered for the service across the country. The momentum has since been maintained with thousands of people connecting to the network across the country.
The eight new locations have joined the nine cities the operator launched 4G LTE in last week, namely Lagos- Lekki, Ikoyi, V.I, Ajah and Akoka (South West), Port Harcourt- Aba Road, Trans Amadi, Diobu, Old GRA and UNIPort, Warri, Eket and Benin (South South), Abuja- Maitama, Wuse, Asokoro, Garki/Central Business District and Airport Road and Jos (North Central), Yola – ABTI (North East) and Zaria- ABU (North West).
“Our commitment is to give Nigerians access to this advanced network wherever they may be located in this country. It’s a lot of investment, but Globacom is committed to making it so that our subscribers can enjoy the best of telecommunications services at home, at work or on the move,” said Mr. Kamaldeen Shonibare, Head, Corporate Sales, Globacom.
Through the brand new Glo 4G LTE network, Globacom offers instant efficient mobile broadband internet to millions of Nigerians at speeds multiple times faster than the 3G network, enabling subscribers to download ultra high definition videos in seconds.
The company is also offering a brand new 4G LTE router which gives access to Ultra High Speed Internet and landline, with free SIM, 60 GB of shareable data valid for a month and free world-class content for a one-off fee of N31,000. For those who prefer MiFi, Globacom is bundling its 4G MiFi with free SIM, 60 GB of shareable data valid for one month and free world-class content for a one-off fee of N25,000.
Glo 4G LTE comes with such benefits as free access to millions of music, video and movie on demand, among others. Available 4G data bundles include N500 for a whopping 1.6GB of data, N1000 for 3.2GB data and 7.5GB for N2000. Others include 10GB for N2,500, 18GB for N4000 and 24GB for N5000.
To join the most advanced network, customers are required to buy and register a 4G LTE Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) or swap his or her existing SIM for a 4G SIM, get a 4G phone and dial *777# to buy a data plan.
