It is not hard to hack your own UDA file for your region code.

I have created a simple enough guide to follow, so you should be able to hack your UDA file and add the install server to it.
Let me know if you get stuck and I will try to add to it.

    You will need the following:
    Phoenix
    NaviFirm +
    NokiaCooker
    Hacked Installserver

    Optional - Sklchan's S3 Mods

    Step 1. Follow then guide.
Step 2. Then install your hacked firmware with Phoenix.
Step 3. This is optional - load sklchan's N8 mods.

We should give thanks to the creators of the various programs as without them none of this would be possible.
    ________________________________________________________________________________________
    Step 1. Download firmware files
(This is based upon my phone and location, YOURS will be different!!!)

You need to download the NAVIFIRM program from http://cpkb.org/wiki/Navifirm
Extract and run the program (does not need to be installed)
The program needs to have access to the internet so make sure you allow it through your firewall.

    Do the steps in order.
      Step 1.1  Select Nokia N8
      Step 1.2  Select Latest Release
      Step 1.3  Select YOUR region
Step 1.4  Remove the tick to Parse VPL or you will not download all the files that you may need
      Step 1.5  Press Mark All
      Step 1.6  Download your files

After a few minutes (hours depending on your internet speed) you should end up with your firmware files downloaded.

Step 2: Download the latest Nokia Cooker
    http://www.symbian-toys.com/nokiacooker.aspx

Load up Nokia Cooker and find where you downloaded your firmware and open up the UDA file.  Note it may take a minute to load!
(NOTE THAT THIS PICTURE IS AN OLD FIRMWARE – USE NEW UDA FROM YOURS)

Locate the folder in the system called /Sys/Bin and this is where you need to drag and drop your hacked installserver to
    [IMG]
Then when you save it will create one backup and it will also create the modified UDA.
You can delete the backup from your system or move the original UDA to another location, either way you do not need it.

Step 3. Now to bring it all together

We have the firmware ready to flash with Phoenix.
Before we plug in the USB cable or load the Phoenix flasher we need to copy the firmware files so the Phoenix program can find them all.

Copy the whole "RM-596" folder to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Phoenix\Products" or the "Products" folder if your program is installed somewhere else.
So it should now be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-596" where your files are installed.

    The phoenix method won't work.

    REASON:
    1. Phoenix Service Software (file size 100mb) won't flash your phone (or even start up) without attaching...

    I. A Nokia PK-D1 dongle or
    II. MT-Box dongle

The phoenix service software is commonly used by Nokia Care Centres Worldwide plus its very expensive to purchase the pk-d1 dongle or MT-Box dongle if for non-commercial use and the dongle is required to emulate or run the Phoenix Service Suite.exe after installation.

I will say he at least tried his best to enlighten us all regarding H@cking the  UDA file using Marco Bellino's Nokia Cooker + Install Server. Thats quite easy.

The harder part is writing the cooked (or hacked) firmware into the phone. This is generally called flashing or erom flashing.

As a software engineer, to understand flashing of nokia phones requires knowledge of kinds of nokia phones...) e.g.: DCT3,DCT4 & BB5 phones.

DCT3 & DCT4 are flashed using .PM files ONLY! H@cking doesnt exist here!

BB5 phones are flashed using (rofs3.fpsx , uda.fpsx, rofs2.V01, core.C00, .bin, .spr, .vpl, .dcp) files. H@cking exists here!

*most symbian are BB5 if not all.

    Important files are the:
    1. MCU or C00
    2. PPM
    3. CNT

Refer to Flashing BB5 using J.A.F 1.98.62 with P-key or 1.98.63 with P-key(the last stable release by Odeon/Raskal).

But JAF can be bought in parts at computer village.
    Requirements:
    *Used JAF BOX=N2,000
    or
    *New JAF BOX=N5,000
    or
any other similar box that's cheaper.

    *JAF P-key=N2,000 or N2,500

    *Your device F-BUS cable=N320

    *windows xp system

    Then download "jaf_1.98.62_setup.exe" from
    (www.4shared.com/file/8InEhXBq/jaf_19862_setup.htm)
    and
    "PKey XP driver.rar" from (www.4shared.com/file/b9dq9HnE/PKey_XP_driver.htm)

    ALTERNATIVE TO JAF
you can write firmwares to you phone using nokia's CareSuiteStore.

download CareSuiteStore2008 or CareSuiteStore2009 or CareSuiteStore2010 from 4shared.com and use get your compatible USB cable to flash cooked firmware.

    NB:
READ ONLINE FOR CareSuiteStore compatibility with your phone's RM-XXX type before you choose the version of CareSuiteStore to download. file size is about 140mb.

BY DOING THIS YOU RISK TO BRICK YOUR PHONE!!!
